M.A. in Intercultual Education

The M.A.I.E. degree is designed for people who will be training others for mission. While some of the courses are missiological, the focus is on how to train others in mission concepts and methodology. Students may choose between a Course Track and Thesis Track.
 

Course Track

Students may elect to take twelve (12) courses to complete the 36 credit M.A.I.E. degree program.

Bible & Theology —3 cr. hrs.

Dynamics of Kingdom Ministry

Intercultural Studies—6 cr. hrs.

Intercultural Education Core Course Group—15 cr. hrs.

Philosophy of Missiological Education
Design for Effective Teaching
Design for Effective Training
Program and Curriculum Design

General Electives—12 cr. hrs.
 

Thesis Track

The Thesis Track gives students the option of eight (8) courses from Bible & Theology, Intercultural Studies, Education, Leadership and History, a Research Methods course and a 9 credit thesis. The thesis must relate to application of intercultural education concepts to the student’s current or anticipated ministry. Total number of credits is 36.
