Ipod Touch Twitter Contest Winner

February 5th, 2010Posted in News by Jarred Spengler

ipod-contest-at-bcom_networkHi everyone! Your friendly neighborhood Spengler here, announcing the winner of the iPod Touch!

The contest grew m0re and more exciting as the week progressed. Tweets came rolling in, especially between 1:30 and 2pm on Tuesday. In that half hour @BCOM_network was mentioned over 400 times! The total count of re-tweets by the end of the contest was 3,013.

Congratulations to our winner who tweeted North Korea as their answer to the question “Where would you do missions?”

In the video I gave some stats of a few individuals who tweeted answers. Some people in the contest tweeted their answers hundreds of times, others only tweeted a couple dozen times. The more often you tweet, the higher your chances were at getting your name drawn from the goat-skin basket (that’s right, a goat-skin basket!)

The amazing thing is that our winner tweeted a mere 8 times, every time giving the answer “North Korea”. In the basket of 3,013 names, their chances of being drawn was only 0.26%!

To all of our contestants, thank you for participating in the BCOM_network iPod Touch contest. This past week wouldn’t have been as exciting without all of your tweets.

Tweet on friends, tweet on. Have a great day. :)
