I saw Transformers 2, in theaters, only because I was not smart enough to read reviews first.

I have friends that I know of who walked out on the movie, I just looked down at the floor for those parts.
Which still doesn't give an excuse for not walking out.

one of my new "prunings" is to actually think and limit my movie/tv intake.

Thanks for the note Colby, and to the other men who posted

This was a movie that i was sorry for not walking out of, and makes me weary of movies to come. I very much agree with the author this is coming from a 19 year old christian male raised in the church my whole life.

It would be very tough to keep a pure mind throughout this movie, and i am thankful now for God's grace. Is God more important to you than a bit of entertainment? He wants desperately to be!

For more thoughts here is a blog post i wrote some time ago - http://chrismac.posterous.com/christians-and-media-choices

please take all words i have written and submit them to the word of God

When the word normal is used with the focus of approval for a person’s actions, it’s usually, not always, but usually out of an immature, self-centered heart that has alternative motives. The call for the Christian is pursuit, even for women. In this relationship with Jesus, the evidence of love and desire for Jesus is our pursuit of holiness.

Now, please don’t take this to the extreme when referring to the use of the word “normal”, but in reference to the mind of the immature kid, that most of us are familiar with, have used this feeble excuse before, have we not? Bad world views will always result in bad decisions.

Christian Manna: Our world view must be dictated by the Word of God (Bible: Which means we must read it, meditate on it, pray through it, sing it and memorize it. I know, through experience, which saying this is not going to provoke non-diligent Bible readers to read and study their Bibles. We as humans only use your time for what we think is MOST important. Our lives are short and it only accelerates. In any case, “normal” is not relative when referring to what we were created to do. Glorify our Creator!

Finally, those whom have been transformed by the power of God realize that God is it! He is all they have and the Fear of God will oust out fear from man’s opinions, man’s acceptance, man’s approval, man’s philosophy, and man in general.

Way to go Colbs!!!

Soli Deo Gloria!
Grace n Peace
