Q: When can I find out who my roommate is?
Approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the term. Contact the Admissions Office, and we can get you your roomie's contact info.
Q: What do I need to bring to school? Check out the Packing List page
Q: I need to give you my arrival information. How can I go about doing that? Can you pick me up from the airport/bus station?
An Arrival Information Form is included in a final mailing we send out about a month before you arrive. Once you have received that mailing please fill in the form thoroughly and return it to us – even if you are driving in and/or do not need a pick-up. Once we’ve received the completed form we’ll contact you to confirm arrangements if you need a pick-up and if there are any questions or concerns about your scheduled arrival time, we’ll contact you as soon as possible. If you’d like to fax us the form, that would be fine, Or you can scan both sides and e-mail it to us.
Please do not try to give the information to us over the phone. We much prefer to receive the information in writing. Thanks!
Q: Can I come early/ drop off my stuff early?
Please see your acceptance letter for specific dates upon which you may arrive. You may not arrive on campus any earlier than your acceptance letter indicates, since the dorms will not be prepared for you. We cannot store anything in advance.
Q: Can my parents/siblings/grandparents come along to drop me off at school?
Absolutely – yes! There are a number of activities planned for families on arrival day. You are welcome to bring along family members – we only ask that you let us know how many guests are coming with you (on the Arrival Info form). We actually find it very helpful, especially, for younger siblings to come, so that they can envision where their big brother or sister is and to meet some of their new friends.
Q: Can my parents stay on campus during Orientation Week?
Unfortunately we do not have any guest housing available during orientation week. Please see the Hotel Listing included in the final mailing or on our "Visit Bethany" page by clicking the red arrow on our google map.
Q: Will there be time for me to spend with my parents during Orientation Week if they stay in town?
Yes, on and off throughout arrival day. Once orientation sessions begin on Tuesday morning there is not much free time to meet up with family. If you’d like some family time together before you start school, we would suggest coming into the Twin Cities several days in advance. There are many hotels close to the college and a wide variety of attractions in the area that will appeal to anyone in the family. For ideas and suggestions feel free to check out our Campus Profile or Extra Curricular page which provides links to many off-campus ideas, or you can contact the Admissions Office. We are happy to provide an e-mail document of things to do in the Twin Cities.
