I am a lover of God and my husband. And I have a heart for people.
I enjoy being outside, going on hikes, and taking pictures. I also love to go on coffee dates with people.
We often have game nights! I love spending time in the chapel and going on walks in the Back 40.
The classes are a good environment to be a continual learner of God’s Word. There is also the opportunity to learn how to live out the faith in practical ways. The teachers do an awesome job of mirroring those two worlds.
They definitely have a heart for the Lord and for us! They go above and beyond their call of duty to make sure that we comprehend what we are studying. They show that they care by being involved in our lives even beyond the classroom. I feel comfortable sharing my life with them. I am so encouraged by their willingness to offer prayer and speak into my life. They have a love for the Word of God which makes it exciting to sit under. I completely trust in their relationships with Jesus; I know that they know Him.
Living on campus, as a married couple, was one of my biggest fears in coming to BCOM, but it has been amazing! You don’t know what to expect being a married person sharing living space—but it’s an aspect of embracing community that I wouldn’t change even if I could. It’s been so healthy for our marriage because we have people constantly available to speak into our lives and pray for us.
God has expanded my view to see the lost and dying world is everyone—including America and Europe. I see His heart going out to everyone across the world; we’re all His children. My eyes have been opened up to that fact since being here.
He has done a lot of healing in my heart as far as God as the Father. I really have learned to embrace him as Daddy. I can sit at His feet more peacefully. I can rest in His presence a lot more. Even more the Father heart of God has been driven in since I’ve become pregnant. I have also learned to embrace Him more as a lover—embracing the intimacy of that that far surpasses anything I experience with my husband. I’ve grown in intimacy and sweetness with the Lord since being at BCOM, and healing has come with that.
