Content in a classroom is important but missiologists have proven empirically that content based learning doesn’t effectively prepare missionaries. BCOM makes these outcomes a priority in order to prepare your student for effective missionary service. While developing these characteristics they will be immersed in excellent Biblical and theological studies. Rather than examining case studies in a sterilized classroom, they will learn cross - cultural field realities in an overseas setting. Their three years at Bethany will be spent learning in the context of a community of people who care about them, both on campus, and on the mission field . They won't just hear about developing their prayer life, they will actually spend a lot of time praying.
